MSSL Managing Director will help to represent the Building Electrical Systems sector

Michael Smith Switchgear Managing Director Sean Smith has been invited to join the Board of BEAMA.

BEAMA is the UK’s leading trade association for electrotechnical manufacturers, working to advance product safety, sustainability, and technical standards across the industry.

Its work spans a wide spectrum of technology groups, from energy networks through to electrical infrastructure and service technologies in the built environment.

Sean’s appointment strengthens BEAMA's role in the Building Electrical Systems sector, whose members play a key role in shaping UK and international standards for electrical safety and efficiency in buildings.

He said: “It’s an honour to be invited to join the BEAMA board and represent our sector at this level.

“I’ve spent the last few years chairing the management committee for the Engineered Systems Product Group - looking after low voltage switchgear assemblies and busbar systems - and being part of the Executive Strategy committee.

“I’m looking forward to working with the BEAMA team to continue driving progress across the industry.”
