Our 5-step approach

Michael Smith Switchgear Product Development

1. Consultation

We meet with your team to plan your project, offering tailored advice on build and specification.

Our engineers can complete site surveys, producing tailored method statements and risk assessments that ensure transparency throughout.

2. Manufacturing

Our well-equipped workshops and experienced workforce can meet tight schedules at very competitive prices.

We fabricate all of our metalwork onsite, meaning we are able to provide a complete end-to-end service.

All equipment we supply is manufactured to British Standards for low voltage switchgear and control panels.

3. Testing and Commissioning

Michael Smith Switchgear offers full testing and commissioning for your project.

This gives you peace of mind and assurance that you have the right team to safely power your infrastructure.

4. Maintenance

Our maintenance contracts for existing and new switchgear systems give you ongoing confidence.

Our experienced team of specialists are able to advise on latest products and approaches as you gain a quality system.

5. Retrofitting

Technology changes over time, shifting new demands onto your equipment.

However, a replacement unit isn’t always necessary. We can advise and make recommendations about ways to retrofit work to keep your project costs low.
