Emily Smith presents headline prize to Jaz Kaur of Fraser Stretton Property Group
Michael Smith Switchgear was proud to headline sponsor the Enterprising Women Awards for 2023.
Our operations and finance director, Emily Smith, presented the prize for Businesswoman of the Year to Jaz Kaur, co-founder and CEO of Fraser Stretton Property Group.
Judges recognised Jaz’s combination of property law knowledge with new technology adoption and bold entrepreneurial and social vision.
She has led huge growth at the property group, which is now planning for UK and international expansion.
Emily - who herself won Businesswoman of the Year in 2022 - said: “Jaz has achieved an enormous amount within a few short years of the launch of Fraser Stretton.
“It was a difficult decision, as the shortlisted business leaders were excellent and very varied in their achievements and sectors, but judges felt that Jaz exemplified the purpose of the event.”
The awards are the main event in the annual calendar for Enterprising Women, which supports and champions women in business across the East Midlands through the Chamber.
Enterprising Women stages a series of networking events, interactive workshops, and hosts guest speakers throughout the year.
About 350 people attended the gala dinner at Winstanley House, which was hosted by ITV weather presenter Emma Jesson and featured a performance from Luzahnn, singer from Livin’ Joy.
