Award is internationally recognised and judged by a panel of health and safety professionals
Michael Smith Switchgear has been awarded RoSPA Gold for the ninth year running.
The award - presented by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) - is internationally recognised and judged by a panel of health and safety professionals.
It reflects MSSL’s ongoing focus on workplace safety - something referenced in the company’s successful King’s Award nomination earlier this year.
Receiving the RoSPA Gold Medal demonstrates the company’s continuous improvements to maintain the highest standards in health and safety management.
MSSL is dedicated to maintaining a safe, modern, and supportive working environment for its team at its carbon neutral facility in Leicester.
Managing Director Sean Smith said: “Keeping our teams safe is always our top priority.
“Achieving the RoSPA Gold Medal for the ninth consecutive year is a testament to our ongoing commitment and the hard work of our staff.
“We are proud to set the standard for health and safety in our industry.”
The RoSPA Awards programme is the largest of its kind in the UK. Attracting around 2,000 entries from more than 50 countries, it reaches more than seven million employees annually.
The Gold Medal is awarded to those organisations that have achieved five or more consecutive Gold Awards. It demonstrates continuous improvement and excellence in health and safety performance.
At Michael Smith Switchgear, safety is embedded into all work, with robust quality policies and procedures reflected by its four ISO accreditations in relation to quality, people, health and safety, and environmental standards.
The award comes as MSSL receives national recognition from The Kings Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development.
